The Legion he's referring to at the end is the Legion he built -- they're the ones who stopped the cannon. Not the heroes in the main comics (which would 45 centuries ago regardless).

I'm pretty sure the intention is to say that they blew the cannon up, and the cannon was blocking interstellar communication somehow, so now the planets can actually communicate again.Curtishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04110849730431679786noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6439298599791449790.post-85259388317154215722017-08-04T02:52:38.436-04:002017-08-04T02:52:38.436-04:00The full name of the eating disorder is Anorexia N...The full name of the eating disorder is Anorexia Nervosa. Which makes it a particularly poor choice of name for a Bismollian, but poor in a vaguely understanable way I guess...?Jeff R.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08358424612424285729noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6439298599791449790.post-72843093771284625652017-08-03T13:03:33.694-04:002017-08-03T13:03:33.694-04:00I love those annuals too!I love those annuals too!Jude Delucahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07192366186748612752noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6439298599791449790.post-76116397230361839722017-08-03T11:45:56.303-04:002017-08-03T11:45:56.303-04:00Nervosa is likely a reference to anorexia nervosa,...Nervosa is likely a reference to anorexia nervosa, an eating disorder. No idea why that would be a good superhero name though.Stevehttp://shellacandvinyl.blogspot.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6439298599791449790.post-71434225355588501112017-08-03T08:54:42.736-04:002017-08-03T08:54:42.736-04:00I liked Dead Earth too, kind of a sci-fi only Else...I liked Dead Earth too, kind of a sci-fi only Elseworlds idea.

Didn't think Galaxy might be Lori, an interesting idea.

As for Nervosa, it confused me too. It bugged me that the Durlans were the villains, though, because the Reboot Legion had done such a good job portraying the hatred they faced as wrong; by making them the villains, it sort of justified it by saying "see, they could turn out to be evil SOME DAY", something I hear too much about real people in the real world.

A couple little things:
- I'm bummed the Reniians never seemed to turn up in the Reboot after this. They're pretty cool.
- I read the "Galaxy" memorial as possibly being one of Lori Morning's H-dial identities, which makes the memorial extra depressing.
- Do you have any idea why the Bismollian woman was named "Nervosa"? Cuz I don't, unless she had some sort of psychic power.Melahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05539894845356203447noreply@blogger.com
