But I tend to miss details on my first read of a story, so this blog has quickly become Essential Reading to accompany my 5YL journey, even more so than the Bierbaum Livejournal. Thank you so much for your labor of love here. Issue 4 was the first issue of 1990, so we are now officially in the Nortorious Nineties; and I think launching the decade with some continuity hijinks seems rather appropriate lol.Jon M. There was one exception. But he has been punished.”
He was talking about traveling to the pocket universe. So who was the exception? Was it Karate Kid? He seemed to travel to the non-pocket past and interacted with Superman. But so did the rest of the Legion in DC Comics Presents. Continuity confusion aside, I wish I knew who the Trapper was referring to.Coolroberthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11991432225184340732noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6439298599791449790.post-73756484707649998492016-03-16T04:26:52.827-04:002016-03-16T04:26:52.827-04:00A bit late to the party, but one thing to bear in ...A bit late to the party, but one thing to bear in mind: this wasn't planned by Giffen. DC editorial decided that in the end, they wanted no trace of anything related to Superman tied to the Legion. It wasn't enough that post-COIE Superboy had to wiped away. By the time this volume of the Legion started, there couldn't be any reference to anything Superman related. So it wasn't enough that the Legion's Superboy had to be from a pocket universe, DC editorial mandated that there could never be a Superboy, in any shape or form (and no Supergirl, etc).

So Giffen did the best he could, I suppose, even if it made things worse for the Legion, continuity-wise. wwk5dnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6439298599791449790.post-29343945910299420482015-03-23T14:32:13.905-04:002015-03-23T14:32:13.905-04:00I hated this first time around. I dropped the book, not to pick it back up until the SW6ers were revealed (once a Legion fan...).

Now, of course, I wonder how past me couldn't love this run. It was throwing the Legion on its head yet using the past as building blocks (Eltro Gand? How could I not love the use of him?).
DC Sheehanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17472353965460201709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6439298599791449790.post-5103184776577942652015-03-23T14:18:48.213-04:002015-03-23T14:18:48.213-04:00This comment has been removed by the author.DC Sheehanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17472353965460201709noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6439298599791449790.post-34153541804826273752014-10-10T21:25:32.236-04:002014-10-10T21:25:32.236-04:00Thanks for the comments.
