Who's Who: LSV Ron-Karr

Ron-Karr
by Russell & Siskoid

Real Name: Ron-Karr
Super-Power(s): Become two-dimensional
Planet of Origin: Neptune
Relationship to Legion: Villain

Legion Log

Ron-Karr from the planet Neptune arrived on Earth with the intent of joining the Legion of Super-Heroes. However, his ability to flatten himself into the thickness of a sheet of paper was not judged useful, and he was summarily rejected.

The next time the Legion came in contact with Ron-Karr he was a member of the fledgling Legion of Super-Villains. He was easily caught when the Legion raided their facility.

Ron-Karr was not a member of the Legion of Super-Villains when they attempted to assassinate a famous diplomat. No reason was ever given for his absence from this mission.

When the Legion of Super-Villains reformed, he may or may not have tried to recruit Tusker and Eyeful Ethel into the team. At least Tusker was pretty sure it was Ron-Karr. They didn't succeed in their trial run so never made it to the team.

The Legion of Super-Villains planned to take over the planet Orando, Ron-Karr played a pivotal role by overseeing the machines that transported Projectra's home out of "our" dimension. When their scheme started to fail, however, Ron-Karr attempted to escape. He was captured by the Legionnaires and was sent to Takron-Galtos.

When Takron-Galtos was destroyed by the anti-matter wave during the so-called Crisis, Ron-Karr was successfully moved off of Takron-Galtos and re-imprisoned on the new prison planet, Labyrinth.

Although rumors abound as to his relationship to Stanley Lambchop of Earth, no specific evidence was ever presented that irrefutably linked them.

Five years after the Magic Wars, Ron-Karr was working with the former Substitute Legionnaires as part of the Resistance against the Dominators who were secretly in control of Earth. When the Dominators were expelled, he was heralded as a hero with the rest of them and joined the Earth militia.

Ron-Karr never made another appearance, neither in the Reboot, the Threeboot, nor the Retroboot.

After Infinite Crisis, Ron-Karr's original history has presumably been more or less restored.

Ron-Karr appeared as a shape-shifter to rival Chameleon Boy in the Legion of Super-Heroes animated series. A member of Lightning Lord's Light Speed Vanguard, he was voiced by Shawn Harrison.

  1. I always liked Ron-Karr. He had a silly power that could have been more developed as time went on, and he never seemed as hardened as the other LSV-ers. I loved it when he showed up with the Subs in 5YL. I have a similar like for most versions of Sussa Paka (Spider Girl).
