Who Drew It Better? Tales vs Baxter #20-24

By Siskoid and Russell
Continuing our comparison of the covers of the Baxter version of The Legion (volume 3) and their reprints one year later in Tales of the Legion of Super-Heroes. The stories were exactly the same, but each issue had a brand new cover. So we go back to the age-old question: Who drew the better cover?

Having enlisted Green Lantern to reinstall him as L.E.G.I.O.N. commander, Dox is betrayed when fellow R.E.B.E.L. Strata leaks information that turns the powerful super-hero away from their case. reviewer: Russell "Bilingual Boy" Burbage

Overall Summary:
The Time Champions from Generations Shattered #1 have been scattered all over various eras, hopeless to face off against the Big Bad to try to rectify his messing with the time stream. Fortunately for them, Dominus is too impatient to just let them die off, and sends minions against them. That eventually allows the heroes to regroup and find a way to restore the time stream. What, you thought DC would leave it broken?
One of the Time Champions, you may recall, is the Superboy from the Bronze Age Legion of Super-Heroes, and one of Dominus' lackeys is former Legionnaire Nemesis Kid!
If you haven't gotten a copy of Generations Shattered #1, you can read my review of it here

Recap: Vril Dox's infant son, Lyrl, used his father's enhanced charisma program to brainwash most of the L.E.G.I.O.N. Using a mysterious space ship that appeared from another time, Dox escaped Cairn with fellow L.E.G.I.O.N. members Phase, Stealth, Strata, Lobo, and Borbb. They were also accompanied by Telepath, although he remains a victim of Lyrl's brainwashing. They successfully raided a L.E.G.I.O.N. freighter for supplies but Dox destroyed a patrol ship during their escape, killing all aboard. Strata was furious over his actions but Dox believed that he had no choice. Phase noticed a large number of dots on one of their screen, which turned out to be a fleet of L.E.G.I.O.N. ships headed their way.
