Though it was never revealed in an actual storyline, Mandalla was the daughter of a female inmate of Takron-Galtos, born during her sentence. Her father was rumored to be Titanian, given her the psychic, hallucinatory powers she developed, but her mother never revealed his identity. At 14, Mandalla moved to Earth and joined the Legion Academy.

Mandalla was given a name and history only in this Who's Who entry.

Mandalla does not appear in the Reboot nor Threeboot.

After Infinite Crisis, Mandalla's original history has presumably been more or less restored. She recently graduated from the Academy and joined the Science Police.
