Legion Log
The Taurus Gang came to the attention of the Legion of Super-Heroes when the Legionnaires became embroiled in a gang rivalry between Taurus and Scorpius. The Legion was ordered to apprehend the Taurus Gang; they attempted to do so working as agents of Scorpius.

We are not given any specific details as to how the Taurus Gang was formed or how its members met. They are clearly on the payroll of Taurus, and have no loyalty to him or his organization per se.

During the course of the adventure we met the following members:
Black Mace: armed with an energy-charged weapon, he also kept a broken ankle cuff on his right leg to remind him that he did not ever want to return to prison.
Mystelor: a clairvoyant from the planet Titan who also has telekinesis abilities.
Quanto: a being from another universe who is able to become a beam of light and travel at that speed.
Rogarth: a hulking brute with strength to rival Supergirl's.
Shagrek: a member of an unknown race, armed with disintegrating beams he shoots from his antennae.

The Legion, working with the Legion of Substitute Heroes, was successful in apprehending the Taurus and Scorpius leadership and destroying the mobsters' organizations. However, the members of the Taurus Gang escaped.

Black Mace appeared several times after his initial debut with the Taurus Gang. On one occasion he was apprehended by Timber Wolf in another attempt to escape capture. On the other, he was shown in a flashback as "hired muscle" fighting Princess Projectra, Karate Kid, and Ferro Lad soon after they joined the Legion. He has his own Who's Who entry in these pages.

Quanto made one "prequel" appearance when, during a flashback story, he rescued another Taurus agent who had succeeded in breaking into the then-new Legion headquarters.

Shagrek also made a "prequel" appearance, as a depressed Mysa (formerly the White Witch) reviews old mission files of Blok's triumph over the thug, in the wake of her friend's death (soon after the so-called Five-Year Gap).

No profile information or history from Who's Who in the Legion (reprinted above) appeared in any of the actual stories.

The Taurus Gang (except for Black Mace) ever reappeared, in any continuity.

After Infinite Crisis, the Taurus Gang's original history has presumably been more or less restored.
