Who's Who: Tseln

Tseln
by Russell & Siskoid

Real Name: Tseln
Super-Power(s): None
Planet of Origin: Thaun
Relationship to Legion: Villain

Legion Log
Tseln of Thaun was infamous within the United Planets as a deadly serial killer, murdering innocent people when he thought they had somehow sinned against him. He was known for always using a special ceremonial dagger in his killings, which is one of the ways authorities were able to keep count of his victims.

Tseln came across the Legion of Super-Heroes when three members were accompanying Earthgov Ambassador Relnic on a secret diplomatic mission to the Dominators' World and all of them happened to be traveling on the same starship. After Tseln revealed himself by murdering a passenger, the Legionnaires were keen to capture him. However, Relnic ordered the Legionnaires not to blow their cover and jeopardize their secret mission.

Instead, Princess Projectra used her illusion powers to create a fire-demon. Using Sun Boy's heat blasts, "the demon" convinced the superstitious Tseln that his life was in danger. Armed with his ceremonial dagger, Tseln attacked "the demon," who was secretly Timber Wolf. Knocked out by "the demon," Tseln was apprehended by the Science Police , and no one even knew that he Legion had been involved.

Tseln's history and background as noted in his Who's Who entry were not mentioned in the actual story.

Tseln does not reappear, in any continuity.

After Infinite Crisis, Tseln's original history has presumably been more or less restored.
