Vibrex used his master of vibrational frequencies in order to sabotage the Seattle Space Elevator and steal the ore being transported into outer space. His actions caught the attention of the Legion of Super-Heroes, but Vibrex's unique abilities befuddled their flight belts.

Luckily, Brainiac 5 and Mon-El had just recently completed tests on the new Legion flight rings. These Vibrex was unable to affect. A combination of Cosmic Boy's magnetism and Brainiac 5's force field eventually succeeded in capturing him.

Vibrex's origin and real name as mentioned in this Who's Who entry were not revealed in the course of his one appearance and he never reappeared, in any continuity.

After Infinite Crisis, Vibrex's original history has presumably been more or less restored.

Vibrex's real name is a tribute to comics legend Steve Ditko, who illustrated his sole appearance and (presumably) designed Vibrex's costume. Eagle-eyed fans will note that the costume featured in this Who's Who entry is NOT the same costume Vibrex wore in his one appearance.
