The Fire and Water Podcast Presents…
The twenty-third episode of the WHO’S WHO podcast is now available — the show that dares to tackle one of DC Comics’ greatest publications! Each episode Rob Kelly and The Irredeemable Shag cover a single issue of the legendary 1980s series, Who’s Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe. This time around they chat about WHO’S WHO: Volume XXIII, discussing characters such as the The Teen Titans, Deathstroke the Terminator, the planets Tamaran and Thanagar, plus a few Legion of Super-Heroes entries. They then wrap up the show with their Who’s Who Listener Feedback!
You can find the twenty-third episode of WHO’S WHO: THE DEFINITIVE PODCAST OF THE DC UNIVERSE on iTunes. Each episode is released as part of THE FIRE AND WATER PODCAST feed.

One of the coolest aspects of each Who’s Who issue
was the amazing wrap-around cover! This time out, the art is by one-time Legion artist Joe Staton, and one-time Legion inker Mike DeCarlo. Click the image to enlarge.
Here are our Legion of Super-Heroes related Who’s Who entries from this issue…
First up is Tellus, one of the last members of the Legion of Super-Heroes from The Original Series. Art by Steve Lightle, who with Paul Levitz was the co-creator. We will talk about Tellus at length on his own Who's Who Profile Page. Click to enlarge.
Next up is Tharok by Mark Bright & Karl Kesel. Tharok is the leader of The Fatal Five, arguably the Legion's greatest foes. He is the 30th Century version of the Teen Titans' Cyborg, yet Tharok's cybernetic side was nowhere near as "advanced" as Victor Stone's. Click to enlarge.
Next we get a fantastic Timber Wolf entry by Steve Lightle. This is the costume that Steve designed in the early1980's. We will talk about Timber Wolf at length on his own Who's Who Profile Page. Click to enlarge.
Lastly, we find the Time Trapper. If we are to argue about the Legion's greatest foes (see Tharok's mention above) the Time Trapper would be on everyone's short list. Unfortunately, this art by Keith Giffen & Rick A. Bryant is very static. Click to enlarge.
LONG LIVE THE LEGION!
