The Fire and Water Podcast Presents…
The twenty-fourth episode of the WHO’S WHO podcast is now available — the show that dares to tackle one of DC Comics’ greatest publications! Each episode The Irredeemable Shag (of the Super-Bloggers) and Rob Kelly cover a single issue of the legendary 1980s series, Who’s Who: The Definitive Directory of the DC Universe. This time around they chat about WHO’S WHO: Volume XXIV, discussing characters such as Tomahawk, Tommy Tomorrow, The Trickster, Two-Face, plus a few Legion of Super-Heroes entries. They then wrap up the show with their Who’s Who Listener Feedback!
You can find the twenty-fourth episode of WHO’S WHO: THE DEFINITIVE PODCAST OF THE DC UNIVERSE on iTunes. Each episode is released as part of THE FIRE AND WATER PODCAST feed. One of the coolest aspects of each Who’s Who issue was the amazing wrap-around cover! This time out, the art is by Eduardo Barreto. Click the image to enlarge.
You can see above Jo Nah featured prominently on the cover dashing towards the reader! Click here for our coverage of the Who's Who Profile Page for Ultra Boy by Ron Frenz and Bruce Patterson which happened earlier today...!
Below are the remaining Legion of Super-Heroes related Who’s Who entries from this issue…
First up is Tyr with art by Denys Cowan and Dick Giordano. We just covered his debut appearance last week in Superboy/LSH #197. Go read all about him and check out what his gun used to look like. Click to enlarge.
Next up is Tyroc with stunning art by Norm Breyfogle. Tyroc is one of the forgotten Legionnaires...even by us! (oops!) We will talk about Tyroc at length on his own Who's Who Profile Page in about sixteen weeks. Click to enlarge.
Lastly, we find Universo with art by Greg LaRocque and Arne Starr. Universo is one of the Legion's greatest enemies, nearly killing them in each of his appearances! Click to enlarge.
LONG LIVE THE LEGION!
