Sarcasm Kid: I'm not going to lie that I was relieved the Emerald Empress' cameo amounted to nothing, but for Legion fans who aren't me I can understand why this was such a bait and switch. She's on the cover and you think at the very least the main conflict of the issue will be Clark and Kara against the Empress. But it's not. She just rants for a bit about how she thought Saturn Girl "ruined her life" but apparently it was Supergirl? And we're supposed to believe that Saturn Girl would've just "told" Sarya that Supergirl was responsible? Not only that, but the majority of the issue doesn't even seem to reference Sarya's brief battle with the Supes. Clark doesn't even react to hearing Sarya mention seeing Saturn Girl. If it wasn't for the fact that she was on the cover, this whole segment feels like a BLAM. (A "Big Lipped Alligator Moment," something which occurs in a story but has absolutely nothing to do with the plot and is never mentioned again after it's done - See "All Dogs Go To Heaven" for reference).
"We Bought It So You Didn't Have To" Dept: Here are the Emerald Empress pages in their entirety.
Seriously, this is all we get.
I just hate this "small cameo so we can pull in LSH fans" stuff. :(
