Legion Log
H'Hrnath made his debut as General Manager of Nullport, the Spaceship building facility out in space that provides the Legion with their specialized cruisers. As Nullport has only ever been shown to be a ship-building facility, it is unlikely that H'Hrnath was a native, though there was at least one other member of his species working there, called H'Wann. More likely, both belong to a species from another planet and Nullport is only where they worked. Then again, Nullport seemed to have a seat on the United Planets council...
Nullport provided "build-to-order" spaceships to customers besides the Legion. On several occasions it (and therefore H'Hrnath) were threatened by the Khunds and by the Fatal Five.
In his initial appearance H'Hrnath was shown to have a set of tentacles in his mid-section, as well as hand-like appendages to go with his otherwise equestrian appearance. However, in his second appearance he very clearly does not have any tentacles. Perhaps he saw Dr. Gym'll at some point and had them removed?
H'Hrnath appears in neither the Reboot nor the Threeboot.
After Infinite Crisis, H'Hrnath's original history has presumably been more or less restored. During the so-called Final Crisis, he used his seat on the United Planets council to support the Legion.

He always seems so sad. I mean, why the long face?
ReplyDeleteI pronounce his name like a horse whinny, so I love that the spelling bears that out.
Thanks for these. I love the in-depth looks!
