Who's Who: Professor Vndaar

Professor Vndaar
by Russell & Siskoid

Real Name: Loar Vndaar
Super-Power(s): Telepathy
Planet of Origin: Titan
Relationship to Legion: Saturn Girl's mentor

Legion Log
Professor Loar Vndaar had been a teacher at the Titan Academy for several years when he first met Imra Ardeen, the woman who would turn out to be the most exceptional student in the history of the Academy. She left Titan after graduating from the Academy in order to join the Science Police; when she ended up helping found the Legion of Super-Heroes instead, the Academy and Professor Vndaar by extension glowed in the limelight of her fame.

When Saturn Girl and Lightning Lad could not decide if getting married was more important than their duty to the Legion, she brought her fiancee to Titan Academy and asked Professor Vndaar for advice. He suggested they participate in the "sensacomp stimulator," which should have helped them become more attuned to each other's true feelings. However, Lighting Lad's electrical field short-circuited the system, and the two Legionnaires found themselves in an all-too-real virtual reality. Luckily, their love and trust in one another was strong enough to outwit the malfunctioning program. The Legionnaires got married, and Professor Vndaar continued his career at the Titan Academy.

Professor Vndaar never reappeared, in any continuity. In the Reboot, her Titanian mentor was named Aven.

After Infinite Crisis, Professor Vndaar's original history has presumably been more or less restored.

    1. It had to be the bikini costume, C C. I mean, how many hugs did Imra get in her original costume, hmm? :) lol

  2. Wow. This obscure guy gets comments, but the Luck Lords get none. And, yes, I realize the irony of me commenting here and not on the Luck Lords "Who's Who."

    1. Yeah, it's all sort of unfair. No idea why this guy even got an entry.
