Who's Who: Westerner

Westerner
by Russell & Siskoid

Real Name: Timthy Santoza
Super-Power(s): Absorb and use others' strength and endurance
Planet of Origin: Earth
Relationship to Legion: Academy member

Legion Log
Westerner was a student at the Legion Academy, and as such studied under Bouncing Boy and Duo Damsel. He was not given any name or back-story in any of his initial appearances. He was simply a "figure in the background" whenever the Legion Academy was shown.

According to the Who's Who in the Legion profile (above), Westerner has the ability to absorb strength and endurance from others. This power is genetic but also mystical in nature, and runs in his family. His ultimate goal was to master his abilities and become a teacher in the frontier colony schools.

According to the Who's Who in the Legion profile above, Westerner made his debut in Legion of Super-Heroes Annual #3 (1987). However, he is clearly shown in the pages of Legion of Super-Heroes (v2) #24, a year+ before that adventure.

After the disbanding of the Legion following the Magic Wars, Westerner did some commercials for television.

The Westerner did not appear in either the Reboor nor the Threeboot.

After Infinite Crisis, Westerner's original history has presumably been more or less restored, and he continued to appear in the background at the Legion Academy.
